ASHANTI ALTOVESE GRIFFIN

Danscents!™ founder Ashanti Altovese Griffin is a professional dancer of 20 years with 11 years experience as a Salsa instructor, competitor, and performer. With her B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, she established the company as a means of combining the art of dance with the science of fragrance. While working as a Product Developer for the Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY, a Senior Engineer for Kraft Foods in Glenview, IL, and as a Business Development Manager for Fonterra USA in Chicago, IL, she visualized fragrances that captured the essence of a dance star.

Now, as a writer of dance for  Examiner.com, BallroomFantasy.com, and Suite101.com, director of the Dancesport Divas® female dance team in the San Francisco Bay area, former Salsa instructor at the Shoebox Studio in San Francisco, and host of the television pilot “Salsa Superstars”, Ashanti offers fragrance products to women who are interested in discovering their inner dancer.

Inspired by the dances of Salsa, Ballroom, Ballet, Belly dance, Pole dance, and Erotic dance, Ashanti wanted to offer fragrances to women that celebrate the confidence of a dancer, which can be attainable by people of all backgrounds.
