Held at the San Jose Double Tree Hotel in January, the 2010 & 2011 City Lights Ball events were glamorous affairs. Co-organizer Barbara Weiss was available to welcome Danscents! founder Ashanti Altovese as the official sponsor of their professional division competitions in Latin, Rhythm, Smooth, Standard, Show dance, and Cabaret. The event was filled with high level competition from their youth contestants to their senior dancers. Attendees could enjoy workshops, dance camps, and vendors in addition to the competition.
