Ashanti Altovese is a professional dancer and model from Chicago, Illinois with over 19 years experience in dance and fitness related activities. Her training includes Ballet, Jazz, and Gymnastics, a specialization in Latin dance, conditioning in Yoga, Kick Boxing, & Erotic dance, and experience in Belly dance, Swing, Hustle, and more.

Ashanti has performed at the Chicago Salsa Congress, internationally in Toronto, Canada, and has competed at the World Salsa Championships. Now a resident of the Bay Area, she recently joined the Couture Dance Alliance professional team under the direction of Luis Aguilar and performed and competed at the San Francisco Salsa Congress and the Seattle Salsa Congress with her dance partner Mikko Kemppe.

Ashanti's interests include writing, fashion and costume design, culinary art, dance fitness, lifestyle guidance, mentoring, business development, and female empowerment. She holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL and has worked for top Fortune 500 companies such as The Eastman Kodak company, Kraft Foods, and The Fonterra Group.
